Does anyone have any nightmare stories about switching over to unlimited pto? I’ve only seen 1-2 cases of it not working out for people on here. Wondering if I’m overthinking skipping companies that offer it.

I’m a stub year associate that has gotten very very slow (~1-4 billable hours a day). I’ve been doing some pro bono here and there. Hi! I need some help negotiating a raise. I have been working for this company for exactly 3 months now, but I was hired as an AGM. I'm not specific on what my responsibilities are as AGM.
However the GM at the time, quit 1 and a half months in. I was thrown into the role and have been handling it since.
My regional calls himself our GM but is never on site.
Was reluctant to cover my shifts when I became sick and requested time off for a few days. (4 days)

I'm reading The City We Became by NK Jemisin right now and I'm enjoying it a ton.
