Suggest Anxious People! It was a light, funny read, but still sentimental at times

Just looked it up and it seems like a great read! Thanks for the tip ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ

Ohh been meaning to check this book out. I recommend Leave the World Behind, Magic Hour, and The Great Alone.

like

The Great Alone by Kristen Hannah- This one was a bit more serious but wonderfully told

Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson- This one is humorous and cute and strange and just a happy light read

People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry- Super cute book, very light read

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid- Amazing storyline, characters, loved everything about this book!

What's the work culture like? How is it like taking a leave? Or a 7 day vacation? Do they let you take it most of the times?

I had a first round interview, and they contacted me that day to ask for a second. I now had the second on 11/22 and havenโ€™t heard anything since. I figured with the holiday it would take longer, but do we think this is a good sign or bad?

Iโ€™m a stub year associate that has gotten very very slow (~1-4 billable hours a day). Iโ€™ve been doing some pro bono here and there. Iโ€™m staffed on a couple deals looking to sign in January but nothing with year-end/Christmas deadlines. Stay quiet or reach out for work? Would prefer not to have my holiday blown up, but also donโ€™t want to give off the impression that Iโ€™m actively dodging work.

Hi! I need some help negotiating a raise. I have been working for this company for exactly 3 months now, but I was hired as an AGM. I'm not specific on what my responsibilities are as AGM.
However the GM at the time, quit 1 and a half months in. I was thrown into the role and have been handling it since.
My regional calls himself our GM but is never on site.
Was reluctant to cover my shifts when I became sick and requested time off for a few days. (4 days)
Any thoughts?

Customer Success Account Managers at AWSโ€ฆ. Is it worth it? Salary? Benefits? PTO? But most importantlyโ€ฆ how much do you actually work? I have been hitting quota and usually work 4-5 hours/day, sometimes more if itโ€™s busy. Know Iโ€™m at the โ€œtake a leap to get a raiseโ€ phase but donโ€™t want to take the leap of it means I lose my balance between work and home.

My husband and I decided to take a week vacation around Memorial Day with our daughter. We thought it would be nice to do some outside things that are safe to do each day even if itโ€™s just spending most of the day in our backyard. Thatโ€™s not the point - the point is I went to my SM and told her that I would like this week off and she came back with well itโ€™s around a holiday so you might have to be flexible as in being around for emergencies and consistently checking your emails since others

What are your thoughts on domestic family air travel this summer? Planning to fly to Naples, FL for two weeks in July to stay at a family memberโ€™s empty second home. There is a pool that the kids can swim in everyday, which we think is so needed. Iโ€™m conflicted bc on one hand I think airlines are being very good about enforcing rules so people feel comfortable flying, and I also want some fun for the kids before the fall comes and we potentially go back into a quarantine situation.
