Recently moved into a fully remote SRE/DevOps role with an overseas company after about 5 years of experience, with annual pay in the ₹48 LPA range and a chance of crossing ₹50 LPA due to on-call responsibilities; the payout comes directly to me without an Indian payroll, so I’m trying to figure out how income earned from a foreign employer is taxed in India, when surcharge and cess start applying, and whether there are any deductions or structuring options available for this kind of setup.

My last date is Dec-30 and I received a call today from TCS HR for retaining me for 16 LPA max.

I have 4 yrs of exp as full stack developer and my current CTC is 15 lpa and notice period is of 3 months. I got an offer from another firm for 24lpa but they have shared the offer letter of DOJ after 2 months and asked me to negotiate my notice period or look for buyout. What should I do in this case? Should I connect with my current hr to negotiate? Cause I tried convincing the new hr to share the offer letter of DOJ after 3 months but she is not in the favour of that.
