Have a formal offer at Citi for 120K as an AVP in the NY office. Currently making 92K at my current role where I feel there’s not much room to grow anymore. Is this a fair offer? I currently WFH pretty much full time at my current role which has been amazing, but it seems like Citi would require me to be there 2-3 days in the office per week - and this is something I’m very hesitant about. Thoughts on how to approach this?

175k for 5 YOE is extremely competitive.
This is a normal C package for us, similar to what you’d receive out of b school
Man, ZS really fks their internal promotes vs external hires…
See my title? That’s how much I get paid At CIti. 🥲
Bank titles are really meaningless
You are at 2nd year C level in ZS. I am 10 k below that at 1st year C. Also for 5+ year ..that is great ..I came in at 4 years at AC.
Word of caution: I am happy that I came in at AC.. consultant in ZS is way too much work, multiple projects to lead, simultaneously …too many offshore calls for every project (if you are joining tech side)…
if ACN offers good wlb at 10k less, I will not give up the WLB for that 10k pre tax
Really depends what your current comp now is too
Hi! I just joined ZS from acn with the exact same scenario: 5 YOE, same offer, was a huge bump from what I was making at acn. The money is definitely nice, but the stress is definitely real at the C level. Fractional staffing, learning science and pharma, and working with extremely intelligent coworkers has me feeling a bit of imposter syndrome. But I’m still happy with my decision. I would say do it but get ready for a year of high stress learning
Yes ^^ well said
Stay at acn
Don't stay at ACN. I left there for ZS a year ago and it was easily the best decision I've made in recent history. The work is better and the financial benefits don't hurt.
What’s your current role and comp at ACC?
Where is this offer located? Is there COLA in there?
F
It's competitive for that level. Whether or not the level is a good fit for your yoe, idk.
A friend got an offer with $165K and another friend got an offer with $170K, it depends on years of experience, MBA degree, or location (COLA). Sign on bonus is reasonable. I think it looks like a reasonable offer. $175K is probably not negotiable though, it’s on the higher end of the C base range.
Its a very good package, people who are in ZS as C making 175-180k after 2 years as C meaning 7-8 years of exprnce. Definitely join if you like consulting plus has energy to work hard
