Go to a suitsupply store - they’ll fit you and help with getting alterations. You’ll likely need some tailoring done, esp if your torso is V shaped.
What’s up with my man’s shirt, those are some bizarre wrinkles. Looks like it’s a bad fit and pinned in the back or something.
Now that I’ve seen this I can’t unsee it. Ruined.
You’ll need something custom unfortunately. Have a similar issue with wide chest and arms, and nothing off the rack worked well.
On the plus side, once you get your measurements right you can send them to a cheap place for multiple suits
Havana Fit at Suit Supply works decent for me with same body type
Calvin Klein slim fit from menswearhouse work great for me. Usually on sale for $250 - $350.
6’5” 240lbs so probably a bit “slimmer” than you.
I am the same exact size and build and Joseph a bank fits me perfectly. The 1905 slim fit
Former linebacker here. I've slimmed down quite a bit from my playing days which has helped on the clothing front. Separates or MTM have been the answer for me. I've had good luck with JCrew's Ludlow line actually from a separates perspective, but YMMV
Jos A Bank does custom suits at 500/each of you buy from their close out material.
Indochino, but only if you go to get measured in the store. They do 5x the measurements in store vs when you do it yourself online.
Go for a spread collar (like in the pic) and pair with an appropriately slim tie. Get a suit that fits your shoulders well and have it tailored.... no need for mtm
You’re probably to large to have that exact look but a well fitting suit never looks bad! I like that look too but my torso is too short as compared to my overall height
Ministry of supply 100%
I’m your size and was also an offensive lineman so I know how this feels. I have had great luck with Combatant Gentleman. LMK if you’ve got Qs
Yeah I get slim fit. The pants are tight/close on the thigh, but not so tight that it looks weird. And the crotch/seat has enough room so you can still sit down comfortably, but still looks tailored. In general everything is a little looser than other companies’. For example, I have a 38 waist, but buy 36 from them because they’re more generous with their sizing.
For your first order, maybe order one slim and one regular, then return whichever you don’t like. If they try and make you pay for the return, just email them and say you’re a first time customer referred by a colleague. Their customer service is pretty good (though they did have some scandal a few years ago).
Paul Smith looks very good on slim fit athletic bodies.
To add on: Bring it to tailor to raise the leg, sow it in so that it's tailored.
