I am an associate at a UMM and my employment contract has a 4 month non compete (yes, even for associates) but I am thinking of lateraling. What are the implications of breaking a non compete? I didn’t say anything when I signed because I was desperate for a PE offer but it seems so unfair as I am just a lowly associate. I am not so much worried about getting sued, but about my current employer tanking my reputation if I leave and break the non compete.

Anyone know how to get a position as an HRBP without HRPB experience? All positions I've looked at want previous experience. Would over 5 years of HR experience and a PHR suffice, or what skills should be added to that?

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. I've noticed that the engineers keep their mouths shut whenever they're asked for feedback, but when they're alone, they talk about how much they wish they could change management.

Why is that?

I've noticed that my coworkers tend to work more on their own than with others, even when they're all in the office. Is this normal? I feel like it would be helpful for everyone to talk about their projects more often—I mean, what if someone else has solved the same problem you're trying to solve already?
