So your role has been eliminated, but the same company has a contract to hire role? That is an awful business practice, and I’d try to get far away from them.
I don't think they do.It's Spam.I just got spammed from a fake proctor and gamble.Recruiter, that told me to start online and it was completely fake. There is a lot of job scams right now.
The best piece of advice I received when I was laid off was the company has made their decision about you….move on and forget about them! When they called me, made sure to answer the phone….but not going back to help! Not looking for positions in that company or in contracting. If they eliminated your role and then hired a contractor, they are showing no loyalty to employee and will treat the contractor worse….which of you worked there before you will 💯 know how you are being taken Advantage o!
They do this to avoid paying for benefits and are likely phasing the role out altogether, as it is cheaper to outsource on an as-needed basis or hire a virtual assistant.
Good luck I’m in the same situation. Hopefully we’ll find something we like soon
They can pay a new person a lower wage and probably don't have to pay any benefits either.
If they offered any kind of severance, there was probably a clause in there that said you couldn't work for them or any subsidiary for a specific amount of time. That is what happened to me. If no severance, they made a decision internally not to hire/ rehire displaced employees at that time. It's corporate business.
??? that position is not open on internal Job Portal (IJP) ? So weird....
No! I’m stumped. This has been SO discouraging.
