Roles are being mapped from splunk to cisco amd my manager has also explained the compensation structure being changed. Overall CTC remains the same though. I’m worried that the RSU wouldn’t be refreshed as Cisco doesn’t refresh RSU’s much at grade 8(mapped grade now). If they doesn’t then my compensation would go down by almost 30-40%

Yes, few Cisco G8s get RSU. Even when they do, the amount is lower. Maybe 10K or so.
But your pay is on the lower side for a Cisco G8 SDE. So, they might just give you more RSUs if they can't get you a pay bump.

Refreshers are performance based and less likely to be given at G8. G10+ are more likely to get refreshers.
G8s also get RSU refresher. It totally depends on BU Budget and Manager...
