Salaries / freelance comp is half of what it used to be. I know the industry is struggling, that all job markets are struggling, and the economic climate is rough. But WTF? In the late aughts I was in my late 20’s, had minimal experience, small responsibilities, and made $60 an hour freelance and then a little over $100k full time. Now I am in my mid 40’s with lots of high profile work and experience. Yet I get major low balled all the time. Put that into an inflation calculator, vomit.

Today is my 23rd birthday and I had very few people say happy birthday today. Hello. Just curious on what's the salary ceiling for a manager position at Deloitte? Received a verbal offer and waiting on written offer. I was told by a recruiter that M at Deloitte doesn't make more than 180. Just curious if that's actually true and if anyone had experience negotiating higher salary than 180.
