Hello guys,
Today I had salary negotiation with Capgemini , they are offering 15 lpa with 10% variable. I feel this is a bit low based on current market standards. I asked for 20 initially, but they are not willing to go beyond 15 without any counter offer. HR flat out rejected 20 saying business will not approve. what is the max they will give after providing counter offer? And if i join around November, when will i be eligible for next appraisal? They are offering c1 band.

International worker authorization question: Does BCG accept pending i485 combo EAD card? Pending Green Card based on marriage. Valid for 2 years. My lawyer said i765 + i151 combo card doesn’t need sponsorship and I can work for anyone. Got an offer, now at background check stage. HR seems confused about what is pending i485 EAD and said she needs to check with legal/mobility team. Just want to know if BCG is okay with it. Thank you! Boston Consulting Group

Why burn a bridge that could still be crossed in the future when you’re less butt hurt

Yep, that's certainly the pragmatic approach

Always remember 3rd party recruiters typically work on straight commission. So while if they are focused on the long term, they should be giving everyone feedback ( assuming the company gave them any). But the bottom line is they only have so many hours in the day to make calls, send emails. They focus on what will make them money. They have bosses looking at their numbers. Calls made, resumes sumbitted, interviews set, placements made. Your ratios matter. They may have even meant to call and a few days passed, but calls that don't move a placement forward aren't good for your numbers. And they know you will waste their time wanting to know why or if they got feedback ..... and it's just easier to move on.
The pragmatic move is to reach out and say, I assume no news is bad news. If you run across anything else that might be a good fit, keep me in mind. There are a lot of fish in the sea, make yourself easy to catch.
I can see both approaches mentioned by others. I don't disconnect the LinkedIn part but do keep in mind the experience for any future interactions. I'm not referring others to them but will at least consider a future emailed opportunity. It hasn't mattered in my career so far as I've not had one come back in the future with anything of interest. I still understand keeping the bridge intact though...

Also, a mediocre recruiter may very likely not make it, but their files will. The vultures in the office will go through them.
Same happened to me with one particular recruiter company. I don’t even pick the call up anymore.
