You know the “S” in MSRP is “suggested”, right? If someone will buy it for a premium they can sell it for one. I don’t understand.

Manufacturers don’t want their cars above MSRP, so dealers are forcing mandatory warranties and crap to make more money
No, extra stuff like carpet, lights are always extra.
This is premium they are asking coz of shortage of cars
I think it’s a known issue with supply chain shortages. Leased a car in November and my advice from people who work in the industry was that any price at msrp was a good deal.
Supply and demand.
Yes, but i saw a middle clas couple was ripped on their car lease deal.
What in the actual F? What state are you in Op or is it nationwide?

It’s illegal for a dealer to require you to purchase a warranty. Your suggestion would actually be even more illegal, because you’d be hiding cost in a sale. It’s called a Forced or Hidden Warranty Scam. It’s well known and illegal.
I guess only Tesla dont charge extra since it’s online order 😅😂

I mean…Tesla has been raising their prices, too. They don’t have an MSRP because they don’t use dealers.
this coming from a consultant. We are doing the same thing with a covid up charge. So there's that.

It is new normal now. I paid extra $1500 for my new Subaru Outback. However I know people who paid extra $6k for Kia.
I was asked $12k extra for civic, delivery in March-April

Got quote of total &44k of 2019 CRV (22k miles)
Yeah, I wanted to buy a new Audi S3, but there was a $15K premium on the car pushing it from $55K to $70K. Depending on how luxury the car is, I’ve seen premiums anywhere from $50-150K.
Haven’t been following prices much. Is there any difference between leasing and buying at the moment? Wondering which option carries the financial advantage or if there’s an increase with both.
Yeah it all about inventory. I’m not super familiar in the contract but if you locked the price for buy out a few years ago it potentially would make sense to buy it. If they do a market adjustment I guess it may not.
The unit price is high,
So you are paying extra anyway weather its lease or finance
