Anyone looking for a remote data analyst ?
Square Veeva @teletracking
Trying to decide between 3 offers remote/Columbus
Square is 84k salary 5k bonus and 80k stocks vesting over 4 years
Veeva is 100k salary 20k bonus and 25k Stocks each year forever
Teletracking is 125k cash 5k bonus
I know about Square the most and if they paid closer to Veeva and Teletracking I’d probably go there but it seems like they underpay.
The Veeva culture seems really good but it’s a sustaining engineer position for year 1 so debugging

I feel the exact same way. I’m just going through the motions and not being mentally stimulated right now. My kids are young, and I wish we could afford for me to be a stay at home mom for a couple of years.
Feeling this so much. Zero motivation.
Quit my high stress consulting job at the end of last year because I no longer could work for unethical people. Took a job with friends I’ve known for 20 years because it was psychologically safe and would give me time to figure stuff out. I am bored beyond belief and can do in 10 hours what they want me to do in 40. I am trying to remind myself to take advantage of the time and opportunity to reflect and really think about my next move. Sharing this because it could be a strategy for you. I’ve learned to appreciate that I do t have to be going 150% every single moment of my career. This was definitely a lateral or a step down to give me time. Just an option…
47 here, been there and recovered. What has helped:
- talk to a psychiatrist and don’t refuse the help of pills to rebalance the chemicals in the brain
- work with a professional, experienced career coach to see again that the universe of options is vast
- remind yourself daily what a blessing it is to still be healthy and able to do this work, and to have a job like this (many would like to but are not good enough to get it)
- and yes, think about the $/hour or day or week etc that you make by doing what you know how to do well so that you can pay bills, kids college etc
Finally I managed to emerge from very dark depths following a crushing divorce. There is hope if you’re willing to come out of this state.

step 1: recharge your parasympathetic system. it means go and lie as potato on a beach or to watch mountains from spa.
step 2: define what will be ur resilience pillars: trainer in tge gym? healthy eating? sleep hygiene? social connections?
step 3: Once previous steps are done, think about psychologist or coach to facilitate your transition to a new you
By any chance are you female? If so, it could be a symptom of peri-menopause. If you're a male, what everyone else said :)
Also test your testosterone.
Same here (40M, Married, 2 Kids FWIW) and I think it’s largely due to the fact I have zero interest in what I do for a living. No passion whatsoever in the topic and don’t see a realistic path to bridging myself over to something I might actually enjoy without wrecking my finances.
So, I just maximize the weekends with family and focusing on my own personal hobbies and try to stay focused on an early retirement.
I do the same thing. Focus on family time, personal hobbies and goals. At this point at 42, I feel stuck and I will consult for the rest of my life.
Volunteer somewhere that aligns with your values…dogs, homeless shelter, park cleanup, art museum…it’s nice to have that to look forward to during the week.
Burn out is pervasive in consulting. Are industry workers experiencing the same condition?
