So, how is the new Marriott Bonvoy news impacting your loyalty to the program? I am currently Titanium Elite, so I feel as though it would still be worthwhile to maintain such status going forward given the benefits.

Ambassador Elite for six years running (legacy SPG) and my only real incentives to continue with Marriott are the volume of properties and that most of my colleagues are also Marriott people. I’ll be a LT Platinum next year, so unless they reopen the LT Titanium tier, becoming a free agent is theoretically an option.

I really miss SPG.

Marriott still has the best brand portfolio and biggest footprint, so they will continue to be my main program. Hilton and IHG have long been on dynamic pricing anyway. Accor is just a cashback program and Hyatt doesn't have enough footprint. If they build another 50 Andazes, I might give Hyatt more of a look.

I'm really torn. I'm a half year away from lifetime platinum elite, and it makes me worried. Seems there's a huge risk of unattainable stays if locations choose to crank point requirements through the roof, which is unnerving. Earning tons of points at properties my clients will pay for to stay at ones where I cannot on my own was a massive competent of the draw of status and playing the points game.

What is the change? Can you please share the article

Did I miss the definition of the cash rate? Is that the member rate? The typical paid rate? The published rate that no one pays? I'm LT Titanium, and have a couple million points, but it's going to tick me off if my customary rewards hotels stay to cost a lot more.

I got 5 nights at the AC Hotel Valencia for 20k points for the entire stay in 2019. 2 euro cents per point. Also booked the Courtyard Oxford City Centre when it just opened for 50k points for 5 nights, cash rate was £180/night. 😢

I racked up about $20k in credit card debt due to a confluence of things happening at once (move, school expenses , etc ). I have a fair amount of paper assets but not a much free cash. Assets are down a decent amount with the current market cycle and I’d prefer not to sell them to cover the debt , although they easily could. Any suggestions how to handle the credit card debt without racking up tons of ongoing card interest?

I woke up today tired.

My work cell was buzzing and then I remembered something.

I forgot to thank the bus driver that dropped me off a few days ago.

I got up and rushed downstairs to find the bus driver.

It was raining outside but I was already running barefoot to the bus stop.

I stood there soaked in my pajamas as the bus approached.

Then, the door opened. The driver got up and shook my hand.

I sat down and started my shift.

I’m the bus driver. Reminder to love and thank yourself.
