The culture shock will be massive. Corporate, especially finance, is the antithesis of an agency culture. You will need to act like you’re in front of the client 5 days a week. Know this going in. Good luck.
In addition to your skill set and expertise - (talk about cutting edge innovations you walk in with from agency), I would play up client service and how that will translate well when having multiple in house “clients”. Other things they may care about: collaboration - familiarity/comfort working across integrated teams and functions; efficiency, productivity and a bias for action; curiosity and participation - give eg’s of how you’ve raised your hand to join extra curricular groups or lead a committee/think tank; agree with another poster that most banking institutions tend to be very conservative culturally - and the priorities are shareholders/financial performance above all else so just be sure you’re not running out of the frying pan and into the fire lols
Great advice!

It can vary greatly depending on the HM and their goals.
You could poke into what position they feel their dept and the brand is: startup, turnaround, realign, or sustain.
Whichever way they answer, have a way to frame yourself as an excellent team member for that situation.
A common theme I've seen across in-house is they want someone who brings passion and new ideas: that's what they'll say. What they won't say, is they know mavericks and innovators in their org have a long, frustrating road, and can be a liability for a mgr. so they need someone who is creative and passionate to shake things up, but diplomatic enough that they won't step on any toes when they encounter the inevitable inertia, and wise enough that they won't do something stupid to embarrass the mgr and the brand.
Experience in 'regulated industries' is another common theme for this sector.
i love the question of understanding the team mode (startup vs sustain). curious what you mean by realign - seems like it could be very similar to turnaround. would appreciate you explaining the distinction!
Thanks! Wanting to get out of agency life, but hoping it’s not suffocatingly structured. Luckily I’ll have two remote days in the week.
