So I am working at one big 4 and will start new job at another big 4 next Monday. I sent notice to my engagement team and HR two weeks ago as my two weeks notice. But somehow the HR at my new firm and my current firm are both on vacation. I didn’t get terminated yet and this week is ending. What can I do? How bad is it to have 2 or 3 days lap at two big 4?

My partner and I are in the process of buying a PHEV that qualifies for the full non-refundable federal tax credit. We will both owe taxes in excess of the current $7,500 cap (will see if that increases with the new budget bill). If we both own the car (i.e. both names on the title), how do we manage filing for the tax credit when filing separately? Do we just pick one of us to file?
