So I got the initial offer pending the background check. Then I got a message that onboarding was on hold due to my background check. There was a misunderstanding regarding a parttime job I had listed on my resume, but nothing I couldn't explain and verify. I got an email today saying they can't move forward, again due to the background report. I have left a message and email requesting additional information - does anyone have any suggestions and/or advice?

I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.
