So I keep hearing about folks from Deloitte jumping over to optiv, but I am just starting to hear rumblings that some people are having some serious buyers’ remorse. Any ground truth or is it just grass greener syndrome?

$530k HHI, $250k cash on hand, $1.2M investments/retirement. Plan to buy $800-900k house as our first home, but thinking of the best approach given rates today. My thinking is that we (i) put $200k+ down and get a 5/1 ARM. (ii) put everything we save moving forward toward paying down the principal (after maximizing retirement accounts). Should be able to do $100k per year. (iii) If rates go down below 4.5ish % for 15 year fixed, refinance and stop aggressive payment. Thoughts on this approach?

Does anyone actually believe we will be successful in an IPO in the next few months? Anyone ever been thru an IPO with another company? What would the benefit of saying with Optiv when it goes public look like? Is it worth staying at the company for the next year?

Without first hand seeing the ppl do our services (unlike consulting) Is there anyone that can give more insight into how our services actually level up and compete against the big 4? Is it just me or does Optiv need to be more like the big4 and change it’s model around to be more like a big4 consulting firm?
