So I'm in a situation that was supposed to help me out but now I'm seeing this is not going the way I thought. So we've have had 2 people quit that had very specific roles at my job. I was given the opportunity to take over once one of the employees left. But then another employee decide to put his 2 weeks in and is now gone. The work load has quadrupled, should I ask for a raise now, or wait. I know it took 7 months to fill the job I was in previously in here and not willing to wait that long

Hi All, I've completed two years in my current company and I was recently released from my project and my manager is trying to assign me to a new project hopefully.

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? How can I know I'm getting the best salary and not just settling at the low end of the range?

I have an A.S degree and working on my bachelor’s/masters may 2024. I negotiated to 84k NYC. I have seen interns get offered 38 per hour (79k) for internship positions with a similar role.

I’m currently in the process of being converted from contractor to permanent. In my initial conversations I was under the impression that I was in a different pay grade and asked for a salary 25k higher than the max allotted for my position. I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?

Is it okay to transfer my H1B to a new company? Can my H1B transfer be denied?
