Been a product designer for 6+ years, and I’m good at what I do. Any other designers tired of the same conversations about tools, methods, processes, etc? I just see designers getting together to talk about tools all the time. Yet I hardly see their actual production. It’s like a wide circle jerk over which tools / methods is the best to use. Maybe I just hate other designers.
Interviewed for a EM position about a month ago. Was told by recruiter shortly after that they were giving the directive to submit an offer to me, but at the same time internal forces paused hiring. Apparently the hiring manager advocated hard to get me on board, but was unsuccessful due to the freeze. This is a pretty quick growing unicorn startup, so would be surprised if they were cash strapped. What could be reasons why? Is this a red flag?

EY folks, is there a place anywhere on EY network to look for internal job opportunities? I know they send out an email about the jobs periodically but can we check it online somewhere? Thanks.
Looking for advice on an unrelated topic. Just moved to a townhouse with a backyard that is separated from neighbors backyard by a fence. Neighbor likes to smoke in his backyard and smell carries over. I love that backyard and love to spend time there. Also very hot right now so prefer to keep windows open. But I just can’t stand cigarette smell and am forced to close windows and not step out for 30 mins each time he smokes. We don’t even know the neighbor yet (moved just a week ago).
May be a stupid question but is FWW (fluctuating workweek) pay standard in NYC? I just started a new role and was previously in Boston making 1.5x my hourly rate for OT. It’s new concept to me.
Any recommendations on getting covid test for travel from US to India. Near Jersey city. Thanks in advance
Do any of your firms have mental health/wellness initiatives? I want to start one at mine but have no idea how to go about it
Any advice on transitioning out of law to anything else that pays around the same (180+)? I’m 3 years out of law school. 1.5 at a small law firm and 1.5 big law. M&A practice group. Too soon to go in house? I hate billable hours and have no life working 2100 hours a year.
