Tata Consultancy I am a manager in Capgemini... have an offer frm TCS. the designation being offered is Assistant Consultant.. 9.8 years experience( 5 yrs with Cap) Even though I am getting a package of 25Lakhs.. it seems like a demotion in designation.. Cg has offered to match upto 23.5 lakhs.. Is it worth moving to TCS on this grade? My primary reason for moving out of Cg is i m bored of beauocracy and WLB at current project. What are some niche skills in SAP you would suggest a SAP FICO consultant to start learning?
Hvaing served 4 years in FICO and gained good knowledge, I don't find good paying jobs. I am looking to acquire a niche skill so as get a good package.

Go to Moz.com and read their beginners guide to SEO. It's a ton of content but it's broken down fairly well and easy for someone just going in. Then go to stackchange.webmasters.com (or here!) and ask questions you might have on the material.
I learned SEO from the ground up by myself so I know how hard (and now easy) it is to learn this stuff. In the end, nothing compares to practice. Find an internship or coordinator position where you can learn by doing.

Most advances on SEO are being done with research on the mind, not the search engines. Understanding how consumers (presumably) use words to make a picture of their world will get you further as a strategist than technical knowledge.
Google’s search engine is a meaning engine now. Getting versed on how to use content to rank is the most in-demand SEO skill.
Great advice referring to Moz - they have so many tutorials and videos and articles that are relevant to getting you off the ground starting in SEO. BrightEdge is another great tool, although most companies pay for this platform for reporting purposes they also offer free instructional content - webinars, articles, etc. that are extremely helpful. It is easier than it seems once you get the hang of it. Good luck!

Perform keyword research and understand your consumer’s search intent
Pick a niche and start your own website. That's the best way to learn without the ruining of someone else's business.
