Hello all, I have an offer from Quantiphi and another famous travel company which is building a technical arm for themselves. Both the companies are offering same compensation. HRs are calling for offer acceptance. I am leaning towards Quantiphi as the culture is well known to me.
But I have to decide soon. Should I accept both the offers and then decline one at the time of joining. I am new to this and find this a little unethical. Can someone help?

My hardest thing with this is everyone has some advantage over someone else. Life is inherently not fair. If you’re born rich, huge advantage over those not. Born with some amazing talent huge advantage.
Most people have to work to varying degrees of difficulty, but even that at point some have more advantage over others. Born in a place that has been a warzone for years, huge handicap in life compared to someone born in a middle class American family.
I’m ugly and had parents who hated me, so I’m bad with people and have no ambition other than hoping I find someone who likes me one day and it’s the only reason I work. I’m still probably better off than some people in terms of what I’ve had even if my lack interpersonal relationships with other people is a huge difficulty.
Things can usually always be better, but can also be much worse.
I hope that this will happen for you. It's clear you have what's most important in life, perspective and compassion.
In the online world of personal brand, swagger, and rizz defining identity, If you are naive enough to believe half of what you read on this platform then it may seem that way.
You'd think we could be genuine for a second but I know most of us don't have a rule book or support to know what to do or say.
And what’s your point? We’re all jerks?… I’m fortunate enough to love my job and I’m really good at it… my wife tolerates her job and she’s really good at it… you don’t think we should reap the rewards that come at the end of the rainbow?…
I didn’t build a $350M book of business from nothing for my health… it took a lot of years of missed dinners, ignoring my wife, two extended hospital stays, attending galas and events recruiting and building relationships with people… I wasn’t handed anything…
It amazes me how people want to shame the upper class, yet they secretly want to be a part of it…
Gotcha… I agree with you… I have more respect for self made, first generation wealth… and they tend to be nicer people…
But I also don’t blame people for inheriting their wealth… it’s not their fault they have family money… I just don’t like it when they act like they’re better then everyone, and are just rude… I have a client who was like that when I first met him… he inherited $300M from his parents… he spoke to one of my assistants like an ass…
I called him and said what’s wrong with you?… he acted oblivious… I told him that if I hear that you talk to her like that again, I’ll pull the account and ban you from the firm, I don’t care if you have $20M with me… you could have $200M with me, it gives you zero right to talk to my staff like that… he said tell her I apologize… I said you can call, you have her number…
Never had a problem with him again… he actually onboarded another $10M afterwards… sometimes you need to demand respect from these people..
