I hate this too! I definitely try to keep track of when things change and also I find priority lists for my own sanity really help

I relate to that so much. Tracking the changes almost becomes a job in itself.
Priority lists really are grounding, especially when everything else feels fluid. I’ve found that writing down what was agreed to, even briefly, helps create a reference point when things shift. It’s not about being rigid, just about having something steady to stand on when the goalposts move again.
