Sounds like quite a few of you have done a custom build. Can you please drop location and ultimate price per square foot? Thank you 🙏🏽

Cape cod on dunes so pilings make it more expensive: $350/sq ft. 3,700 sq ft.

$600k. Had a house on it falling apart that we tore down.

Central Valley in CA. $201/sq foot cost including 5 acres of land and everything.

It should. Our builder hasn’t ever raised the price after backcheck is complete for permits, and that was already done. We built in a generous contingency fund included in that $201 sq/ft to cover overages from the other contractors (well drilling, etc). The one thing that looks like it will cost extra that won’t come from our contingency fund is additional concrete work that we’d like done.

Not me, but a friend: Northeastern MA: land was $600k. House is $380/sq ft.

like

North Texas: ~$275/sqft (value ~$375-$425)
Oklahoma: ~$225/ sqft (value ~$375-$550)

Was quoted $200+ on potential guest house i want to build in so cal

Due to a family situation we are looking to move to a different state. Normally we would sell our current home and buy a new home in our new location. We are moving from Vegas to Sacramento and we are not sure how long we would stay in the new area. Thoughts?
