You started a new job after accepting their offer Either stay, or go, don’t try to negotiate after you started...lol

like

Sounds like something that you could’ve negotiated before starting - probably hard after you’ve already signed an offer and started

like

You’ve already signed so either stay or go, you can’t really bump up current salary without making current employer mad

like

Never hurts to try. And if they don’t. Then just leave and go to Ey until you get the job u want

like

Either leave or accept your current salary. Trying to negotiate salary a week after you start is not going to go anywhere, and more importantly, not how you want to start a new job.

like

Then you have to join us at EY.

You already accepted the job, so imagine this way, you got into a relationship with a person and now you like, look, this other hot person has an offer.. can we be now in open relationship/do xyz? No, it would be f u, you accepted the terms. Be ready to walk if you did this.

Did you come from FDD by chance? Idk you just wondering what your path was.

No. Valuation&Modeling. Did some really interesting projects focused on a particular sector. The corporate I work with now operates in that sector.

40K is a lot in actual dollars. I suspect the intangibles at your current gig is equal to or possibly more than 40k/yr. But you alone would know.

Hi UK Fish, going into a promotion (from C to SC) and raise discussion tomorrow at a boutique consulting firm. Currently at 62.5k. Bonus was up to 10% but all I got was a measly 2%, slow pipeline maybe but I wasn't told why (will raise tomorrow). A recent acquisition has resulted in losing our annual xmas week off and a learning budget of 1k. I know for a fact that last year they were looking to hire SCs at 70k. Is a base raise to 75k a fair ask?

Anyone here live in the DC suburbs and really like it? I think I want to buy a house in Nova/MD and settle down/raise kids but it just feels like a big decision. I really like it here but the cost of housing and the distance from family (PA and north Jersey) is giving me second thoughts. Any insight is appreciated!
