A month ago, I put in my notice and left PA for good. I had interest from other smaller firms (where I initially thought I wanted to go after burning out at a midsize firm), but I realized I had no interest in being a partner at any firm.

After my first week in industry, I know this was the right move for my career. There was some risk in taking a title cut, but that may be a moot point going forward.

The 90k is also a new team so a lot of growth opportunity while the 72k is well established team. If this matters at all.

I was informed today that my employment would be terminated at a tier-2 consulting firm in Toronto. The reasons for my dismissal are unclear and I would like to get legal advice on the termination agreement and severance package that was offered. How to ace first impression during coffee

Would you stay living in a city you like but have very few friends there, or move back to your hometown where most of your friends and family are? My current city has a population of about 500k and my hometown is about 100k. My main reason to move away from my hometown was dating and jobs, but neither seem to be going any better over the past 2 years. COL is about 28% higher than my hometown and jobs don’t pay much better.

Working with no budgets in any team. Partners indirectly encourage you to eat up hours. End of year it’ll hit my util even tho im 150% utilized. Getting sick of this nonsense.
