If you're quitting, what are they gonna do? Fire you? Don't let the firm guilt trip you into staying when that doesn't benefit your career...
Fair point- just worried about them thinking I’m “burning bridges” but ultimately I guess at that point I really don’t care about keeping bridges with them.
It would be terrible of you to quit during your rotation’s busy season, because someone else has to take over for you now. You should be a team player and stay indefinitely.
When you say mandatory rotation do you mean they are forcing you into a different group to keep you busy during your normal group's down time? ie trying to maximize resources. If so, are you getting a pay increase? If no, then ok to quit. If pwc is flaunting no layoffs but taking this strategy without increased comp, that's bs
Yeahhh that's bs. The "team player" thing is just a guilt trip
Actually kpmg is doing this to our Risk Assurance folks as well. And I don’t think I’ve ever considered leaving the firm more. The tone from our SPML was that we should really be staying and working without merit increases for the sake of being a team player and while I understand, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
do it!
