Thoughts/reviews on Indian Matchmaking?
Strategy& fish - i’m currently recruiting for org strategy. Ive talked to associates (in the healthcare practice) and theyve mentioned that it doesnt matter whether youre in corp strategy, org strategy, etc and that you’re pretty much pooled by industry when it comes to staffing.
Can someone confirm this? Also, what do you expect the restructuring to look like?

I’ve never worked at EY but it is the opposite. It can vary, so I’ll speak generally.
Firms can be hesitant to hire from clients for a variety of reasons. It isn’t a bad thing for team members to transition to clients.
The firm would be happy to have you as client. Having an alum from the firm be a sponsor for future engagements is a good thing. Someone from EY can give you more specific feedback. I hope this can relieve some anxieties for you though.
Most firms won’t have an issue with this. As that is one way to get someone familiar on client side. Unless there is explicit clause in the SOW or MSA around hiring restrictions, this is very common. Hiring restrictions are also very uncommon. So it can vary by engagement
You should review the SOW terms to start with. Your client should also be very aware of any such clause and they should also check with their legal/supply chain teams before formally kicking off the process. Goes without saying, don’t communicate this to EY until you have an offer in hand
Anecdotally, I have seen quite a few people moving over to the client from EY- in US, UK and Canada at all levels except partners
thank you
