At Amazon, what is the difference between a Program Manager and Technical Program Manager? It looks like the Technical one gets paid about 25% more but not sure what roles/responsibilities they do differently. Amazon
Also how technical a background does someone need for a Technical Program Manager role?
Hi All,
I joined Tech Mahindra for 5 days only and didn't find suitable timing for my project and emailed resignation mail to manager and HR. After that HR asked me to resign over portal but at the same time blocked my portal. After requesting many times they didn't unblock my portal and pretended like they want to unblock but there is some issue going on and marked my profile absconded. I have cleared fnf but they are not providing reliving letter but added pf amount also. What to do?

Recruit nationally and advertise that candidates can work from home. Can't imagine your talent pool is very big in Charleston WV or that it would be attractive for anyone to move there. If you aren't getting quality candidates it's also likely you just aren't offering enough money for someone to consider moving from another metro.
As a lifelong West Virginian who loves their beautiful state, with family roots in the Southern WV, I would not consider such a role unless a) I already lived there or b) was hired at a premium. Good money can go far in that part of the state. But there is a reason good money is rarely found there.
You're not likely to find candidates to work a hybrid schedule. I agree with someone else you need to open it nationally for remote work.
I personally pass on postings that do not have a pay rate or the pay Rate is below expectations. You cannot expect a person with senior level experience and/or degreed individual to work for 20.00 an hour.
oh but they do. currently looking as the company I work for is being sold, no idea what new owernship will decide to do with current employees... but I see postings wanting a CPA or at least a Masters and want to start you at $50K its awful...
This could be why:
“The median income for a household in the city was $54,101 and the poverty rate was 17.5%.”
Is it a remote position? I'm a quality candidate.
What are the salaries? Won’t find quality candidates without quality $$$
I use Robert Half. They have a good selection of candidates and do a good job of matching candidates to the job requirements.
Is remote an option? Are you willing to hire remote from other countries? I live in LatAm and I was able to get a remote job through LinkedIn. I know a lot of professionals that want a remote job
Is remote work an option? What does the pay scale look like?
If you delete that posting, create a new one and open it up to fully remote and pay higher than the National market average (and advertise the exact pay for full transparency and not playing games), you will likely be flooded with candidates. Then you can select the one that would fit best. Almost all the other post responses for people wanting to apply say they need fully remote.
Is this remote? potentially posting remote will broaden your range.
Money talks. Also, remote work talks.
If you put your house on the market and ask too much, it won't sell. The same thing happens when you are looking for employees. If you don't pay enough, you won't get quality people. If only we taught economics in grade school...
Totally get how frustrating that can be—finding solid accounting talent isn’t always as simple as just posting on job boards. I help businesses connect with quality candidates without all the hassle. Sometimes, it’s more about how you’re filtering and reaching out than where you’re posting. If you’re open to it, I’d be happy to chat and see if I can help. Let me know!
This actually sounds interesting and I might consider it if I wasn't already committed to my current job! I agree with posting outside your area. Are you able to offer relocation? People in high cost of living areas might be attracted by the lower cost of living in WV if you can spin it that way. Good luck!
If it can be a fully remote position I would most definitely apply. I have 10 years experience and a bachelor's in Accounting but looking for fully remote!
Lower your standards
Hire me remotely, I am a Qualified Chartered Accountant
That is wild. I've been on all four sites for a month or so now looking for work. (I'm in Beckley) and I've not seen anything in the Charleston area. Maybe the search tools for prospective employees aren't working correctly.
Are your positions remote? Or in office?
Thanks
