While it may vary from function to function but we will atleast got to know a ballpark figure. Also if you could add your designations, will be great.

Agreed, needs at least 11
Over the course of my career I’ve actually come to realize that the more lions someone has, the less likely I am to enjoy their presence at a party.

Wow this blew up. Check out my SoundCloud…….or send me a DM to get a link to my book. Please only message me if you have at least ten lions and need a Sr CW.
Jesus no one cares about awards. they’re a dime a dozen
What?
Maybe just proof that you too can be a CCO one day.
I don’t think it’s the most attractive job for that type of creative leader.
There’s a good chance DDB doesn’t even exist anymore in 6 months. Anyone at that level with options probably wants to steer clear.
People still think this business is about awards and inspiration 😂 IT’S ABOUT NUMBERS!
Who cares?
I think most creatives care about who’s running things at the top of their department. And a CCO with lots of awards shows that they want to push for great work.
I have a sneaking suspicion they have more lions than you have friends
Well, if you think about it, the average American only has three close friends so nine would actually be pretty good.
That’s, of course, if you thought about it… but I have a sneaking suspicion you didn’t think before you spoke.
What’s the cut off for the right amount of lions for a cco to have?
Yup

well the CCO that led them to Cannes network of the year left because the holding company wasn't supportive of creative and cutting its legs out from under him. So I think they had slim pickings,
As an editor for Omnicom Media Group, I have had over 30 Lions and the Grand Prix. It’s a year long team effort starting with the Account teams, Biz Dev, Group Directors, all evaluating and tweaking the work from the various agencies until a brief or multiple briefs wind up in the studio. Sometimes the account represented isn’t that strong because the client rejected the most creative campaign. Not the CCO’s fault.
This is so disappointing as the average American has 11 lions across no less than 7 pieces of work.
You can imagine the impact on morale working for someone like that would have for the network. Granted our Global Chief Creative Officer flies in a permanently airborne nuclear powered bio-dome/aircraft and as never even taken the time to provide feedback on my banner ads. But still, one must demand more awards from leadership.
No, you should demand the opposite. Aim to work for a company whose CCO has the fewest awards. The fewer, the better. That’s how you identify the agency that will take your portfolio far.
This is the most bizarre discussion I’ve ever seen on here.
OP, I can’t tell if you’re completely incapable of detecting when you’re being made fun of, or just being very, very stupid on purpose.
