Boom and bust, good and bad, consolidation and expansion, best of times, worst of times, same as ever was but, like every cycle, always feels like the worst. Tell you what’s really got the irony gods laughing their asses off: this year ad industry employment finally, finally, as in 23 years and change finally, managed to recover to its high water mark. Which was set in March of 2001, the month before the dotcom high crashed and burned.

It’s a lot like the general economy which is a lot like the CK Louis routine: everything’s amazing, nobody’s happy.

Never quite understood the concept of furloughing. How does that work? It was a thing back when Covid hit but beyond that what is it?

Hi Fishes, Y.O.E 7.5+ years. Tata Consultancy TCS is offering 25LPA including variable pay and everything. So just 15% increment on my current salary since they mentioned I am leaving my current organization within 1 year.

They mentioned 8-12% is VP plus 80k from that salary is paid at the end of each year. Is it a good enough salary for 7.5+ yoe candidate. Also any heads up for the things I should look out for will be really helpful.

So I've been at my job for 5+ years as a data analyst/back office support team. I made my way up into making a little over $40k. I've been WFH the past 2 yrs and overtime more than half my team has now been pulled out to work for a diff department which resulted in me taking 90% of our daily tasks to handle. I'm at a point where the salary I'm getting is disrespectfully low for all the work I do. Should I ask for a raise? And if so, how do I go about asking without sounding greedy.
