The latest estimates say inflation is going to hit at least 4.2%. Who can afford to live like this? I'm stressed out and I know my annual raise won't be close to 4%.

Had my annual review Friday (first year with the company). Boss awarded a 3% raise though she said my review was “90% positive.” Worth adding I got a 3% sign on bonus last year, so I’m basically at 0% raise. Nobody under me has gotten less than a 7% raise in the past year. Considering promotions + counter offers as well, it goes as high as 25%. I don’t feel a 3% raise matches a “90% positive” review and plan to bring up the cognitive dissonance I’m feeling. Any other tips or advice to add?

I have 1.5 YOE in MC and was recently contacted about an opportunity for a data analyst role in private equity. I’m pretty clueless about the space, but comp is an 85% pay raise and the work generally sounds interesting. Has anyone exited to a similar role? What’s career growth like? I started interviewing early Oct with a company that reached out via recruiter. The hiring manager was very straight forward with me that I was his top candidate and I was told all other interviews were very positive incl CMO. The recruiter said they'd be making an offer but it's now been three weeks. Anyone else had the process drag on like this?
