As a male (who has had to ask the creepy old men to leave the store), I would be shocked if there are any women in retail that have NOT been hit on by a creepy guy. I definitely don't know anyone who hasn't.
On the other hand, I had an 80 year old woman hit on me. And I am not entirely convinced she wasn't totally serious.
This man legit asked me to be in a relationship with him he was very serious lol from other employees that he has made purchases with it almost like he uses his money to appeal to younger women to get some sugar… he met the wrong person with me I’m afraid of old men
Old? How old? Maybe he is just lonely or testing you
Just politely decline his invitation if he directly asks you. Possibly explain it is against company policy to do those things or that your significant other will not appreciate that. If he persists you can inform your manager and allow them to handle the situation
I worked at a male dominant work environment, older clients hit on me alot everyday. I knew that i had male employees to back me up. If you are uncomfortable anytime , hopefully a manager can intervene.
Oh, I believe it! I'm convinced these overly direct customers have gotten away with it before, so they press their luck again. I usually make a joke of it and move on, but if it gets to the point of being uncomfortable, I have zero issues letting them know their behavior is unacceptable.
I tend to laugh in awkward situations and walk away
Yes . Both aquward
I agree
Not retail but when I was a host at a fancy restaurant years ago guys would always hit on me and want to buy me a drink even though I said I can't drink on the clock. I do my best to brush them off politely.
It’s kinda creepy… I let it be known every time he comes in the store that he’s been hitting on me to all of the other managers
I had 3 rd interview for a position yesterday basically was offered job .We will call you tommorrow ,now Im being ghosted hiring process now is like nothing no flow .And it makes employees question there new employer right at the start .

Yikes, that’s definitely uncomfortable—especially when they don’t take the hint! Sadly, it’s way too common in retail. I usually try to stay polite but firm, redirect the convo, or loop in a coworker if needed. You shouldn’t have to deal with that just for doing your job!
