Thinking of moving out of Manhattan. I’m a native New Yorker, but longing for some real outdoor space and to get a car again. I’m in my early 30s, and considering kids in the next few years (so the reality of not being able to set up here forever/afford private schools, etc. is real). Welcome all suggestions on neighborhoods ppl love that are still commutable. Yes, I’d love a brownstone in Park Slope, but totally out of budget. Looking for something around 750k or less that checks all the boxes.

Honestly, I would consider it, but I’m only admitted in NY and MA. My firm doesn’t have an office there so it’d require a new job, which is not necessarily a dealbreaker for me tbh, but I’m still a year short of being able to waive into the PA bar. 😫

If you want an easy commute to NYC and a real downtown I would suggest White Plains. Can still live very suburban but close to good shops and restaurants.

I echo westchester - beautiful here and very close to city etc

Any specific towns/villages you’d recommend looking into?

In your price range I suggest looking into a few — Tarrytown , Mount Kisco , Yorktown Heights, Thornwood , Briarcliff Manor . But you really need to drive up there and get a feel for the areas .

I was recently (in April) fired from a good nursing position that I was at for 5 years. I reached out to my old ADON to get some information on where we had our vaccinations from and she told me that I should come back and the administrator that I had issues with is gone. Is this something I should even consider? I miss my patients and some of my coworkers and the pay is better, but I don't feel like I would really be welcome to come back.
