This coming Tuesday, I'm facing a panel interview with a director, two team leads, and HR - four people total. I keep rehearsing my answers but I worry I'll sound like a robot when I'm actually in there. What's the best way to make a real connection with each panel member without my responses feeling overly prepared or fake?

Don't worry about making a real connection with each and every person. The panel format makes that all but impossible. Forget about doing that and just focus on giving solid answers that demonstrate how your abilities and experiences will make you an asset in the new role.

Panels often look for how you handle group dynamics, so being warm, approachable, and open matters as much as the content of your answers. A little smile or a quick thank-you before you answer goes a long way.

While practice makes perfect, sometimes you just have to go with the flow. Think of it as a conversation than being interviewed so you can naturally respond.

Round or exact numbers on banners/LPs? I was curious about this since in negotiations for example or pricing it's better to have the exact number. But if you have a case study, for example, is it better to say "Client X increased their revenue to 1,000,000 ARR" instead of "Client X increased their revenue to 987,500 ARR" ? Anyone has seen any impact on conversion rates?

I’m noticing that a lot of recent graduates at my job don’t know many basic computer skills (ie. Copy and paste short cuts or how to use the Microsoft Suite at all). I’ve been tasked with creating trainings to teach them these skills but it’s concerning to see how this new generation is starting to lack these assets. What happened? Is anyone else experiencing this at their organization?

I am product designer with a fair amount of experience (6yrs).

Recently was interviewed for a Sr. role in Booking but unfortunately the team finds me better suited as a core individual contributor.

I am also in the advanced stages of some lead designer positions in other companies.

However I am really interested in joining the team at Booking, especially because of the design culture.

What should be my reasons to accept or not accept the offer from booking?
