I am always confused by that first question. It sounds as if the number of applications is limited only by personal choice, and otherwise you could just submit a hundred applications a day if you wanted to.
I apply to every new opening I see where I meet at least 70% of the requirements. However many of those I find, that's how many applications I submit. And it's not like there are that many. There aren't even new positions worth applying for every day.
So are you saying you sometimes spend hours upon hours applying in one day? I'm genuinely asking because I am trying to figure out how to tackle what seems like a monumental task.

Is my English really that poor? Let me try one more time.
I apply to every job where I see myself as a close fit, and THERE ARE NOT THAT MANY. Where do you find so many suitable job openings that you can spend hours applying every day? Are you open to relocating anywhere at any time?
I don't see that many opportunities for myself. I'm lucky if I see one opening a day within commuting distance. Yes, I can remember a couple of days when I spent a good 4–5 hours on applications, and I would do that again if there would be more job openings. but I would not call that "every day" thing.
Okay I don't see any need for rudeness or condescension. Thanks for your input and have a nice life.
