Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

I would. It'd be more of a debate if I was going from full time WFH to 5 days in office. As is, you're only giving up two additional days per week for a $20k pay bump. Sounds pretty good to me.

There would be a few things for me to consider. What would my commute time look like, is it truly a 9-5 or are realistic hours more like 9-7, will the company offer any assistance with covering the commute? Depending on what my current salary is, the extra 20K could be worth it but if I'm comfortable with where my salary is right now and it allows me to pay off the things that I need to with room to spend, then it might not move me to switch
$20k is good money. You are already operating in hybrid so going to the office is not an issue and have made a schedule. But again, are there any other better perks in the new company? Any better opportunities? Consider this holistically
The perks are the same as the hybrid schedule. It’s just that I’m worried later that I’ll never find a hybrid job again.
I would consider if the 20k extra is worth it- is it a stressful office culture? What’s the overall office vibe? Is it a lot more responsibility than your current job? Do they have better 401k matching? How much extra will you be spending on your commute (gas, train, parking fees?) if you’re in office will you be more tempted to eat out, get coffee, etc?
I rejected the job, the vibe from the interview was so weird and it’s a company of 26 people which I don’t feel too comfortable because it’s just really small.
Sure. I’ve worked at creative jobs since 1980, and ONE hybrid job during the end of the pandemic.
Would I get that up for the price of a new motorcycle, a Caribbean cruise, a year’s worth of cable AND phone service AND a brand new laptop? Uhhhh, yeah.
