Ok so I was in a job search support group today and the issue came up about one's aims when job hunting. They tell me it's not about me it's about what the employer wants.

Thing is for me it *IS* about me. The employer is just a vehicle for me to have the lifestyle I want. Why can't we be real about why we want a job? I want to be stimulated by what I do and be paid well. If a job isn't increasing my market value and doesn't pay well I'm gonna wanna to leave. What can I say, I'm a bad actress.

I have been working for a large corporation for over a year and I new to the company. What re peoples opinions about seeking a promotion or applying for internal jobs? Do you make a move or do you stay in position longer?

Is there any way to work for a company as their SAP/Scada/Primavera support ? I have 4 years of experience in these but the place I have joined here in Canada doesn’t use these technologies/ERP systems. So I say this with complete humility and an understanding that this is a fortunate-ish situation to be in. I’m in a position where I am tied to nothing, I have no children, spouse, or house. My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. Because I am able to “pick up and go” I’m open to opportunities and locations. I’ve never worked with a recruiter but was hoping I could get some recommendations!

How hard is a career pivot from digital advertising to a product manager or even developer? I’m learning python 🐍 and at the point where I’m working on a pretty advanced project. I think having technical skills in combination with digital marketing can increase my net worth in the long run .
