JPMorgan Chase recently introduced a policy change to increase the notice period to 60 days. I'm a 602 and resigned recently and yet my LWD is showing up as 30 days from now. Anyone recently resigned can confirm if they are facing the same or new policy is in effect. This is causing confusion with the next companies I'm interviewing with.
I have had several rounds of interviews for a role at Visa London office. When I reached out to the HR to check on progress/status after what they called the "final round", they said everything is positive and then set up another round with the hiring manager last week. TBH, that round seemed as if they want to make sure I have understood the job well. And there has been radio silence after that. Any idea how to read this? I have another offer and deliberating if i should just accept that.

Generally no. H-1B visas are employer specific and you will need one for each employer. Additionally, they require an employer-employee relationship and self employment does not allow for it.
If you were to have a business partner who owned 51% of the business and you work for him/her, you could get an H-1B approved, but it would be on the difficult side because the USCIS will want proof of the employment relationship. You would also have to show the work you’re doing qualifies as a specialty occupation, that there is enough work, that your degree aligns, etc.
Before starting, def rec reaching out to an immigration attorney for a consult. Working without authorization could torpedo any long term plans to remain in the U.S.
