So I say this with complete humility and an understanding that this is a fortunate-ish situation to be in. I’m in a position where I am tied to nothing, I have no children, spouse, or house. My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. Hi everyone, I got an offer from Capgemini and the joining location is Pune but my preferred location is Noida. I saw on LinkedIn and other websites that Capgemini is hiring for the same role in NCR as well. Is it possible to get my location changed before joining? In negotiation for a Manager Role for BNY Mellon (grade K). Looking for some guidance on how hard I can push the issue with increasing my offer.
My convo with the HR recruiter was that he would push for $130k plus a sign on bonus. Offer is coming back at $125k with no bonus. Exiting my current position I'll be leaving a 3% pay increase, $12k bonus payout next month and full remote work on the table. Let's say I can't get a product or marketing job in tech, but I could get in via sales or customer success. Does working in those roles pigeonhole you, or is it easy to switch later?
