My wife and I are moving to Boston from overseas (we’re from Italy and we’ve recently won the diversity visa green card lottery).

We are looking to rent a 1BR starting in January, ideally for ~$3k/month. I’ll be working in the downtown area.

Do you recommend we go for a serviced/luxury apartment (e.g. Montaje, 345 Harrison, etc.) or hire a broker to get a “normal” apartment?

Any managed buildings recommendations within our budget? Also, what are some good brokers we could work with?

Hello all, I am a production manager for a sign design and manufacturing company. I have been with the company for six years now starting as lead graphic designer working my way to the production manager. since becoming the production manager two years ago I am responsible for 4 large format printers and 1 vinyl plotter. I have been increasingly given more responsibility and even more side projects. I have also been proactive and searching for internal positions that fit my skill set. We just won a project and in curious… I hear the vendor onboarding / setup is lengthy and “intense” but would love to know how long it takes and what do they need from you that makes it “intense?”

Mid-level associate at a mid-size regional insurance defense firm practicing coverage litigation. Salary is capped b/c my firm only does I.D./coverage and has no direct-hire comm clients. Second round of interviews with a comm lit boutique where I would be the only associate with 5 partners. Other than partner track, salary/benefits, and switching from coverage to general comm lit, what qualities of the move should I be thinking about as I weigh my options? I've never worked at another firm.

I am concerned with fulfilling billable hours requirement. I’m required to hit 2100 hours yearly and I’m at ~1,500 hours and I think I’ll hit 150-180hours this month. What will happen if I don’t hit my targeted amount by the end of my year.
