I started my legal career at HayBoo. Dallas office is great. They grind but collegial. It’s the opposite about letting people go who are slow. Associates who are let go for lack of work have gotten so much rope and warning. I know a girl who was let go two years after they figured out she was working half time and being paid scale. If you get an opportunity to work in their corp dept., do it. I left to work for one of my best friends at another big firm but I had a great experience and amazing training. And I worked very closely with the corporate groups.
I deal more with other offices. But, I personally find HB to be a pleasant firm to sit across from at the closing table.
I’m at HB in a different office. Happy to chat.
Good firm culture when the going is good. If you don’t have enough work expect to be out next quarter. Other than that, I guess it’s the same as any other firm
