I'd implement a blanket ban on "humble" "grateful" "honored" "next chapter" and any similar word or phrase. Repeat offenders would get permanently booted. The robotic, self-promoting corporate speak is one of the main reasons I only log in when I'm looking for work. It's insufferable.
Yes, this! I’d be so humbled and grateful if they‘d put a stop to those extremely cringey posts.
Recent algorithm changes are reportedly biased toward certain people and *seemingly* purposely away from others (females in particular, but even LI “influencers” who already have a big following and probably depend on views and engagement to make a living).
This should be the first thing they address. Otherwise, people will leave.
I’m neither. But as a CEO, you don’t want to bite the customer hand that feeds your system.
This has been proven by the numbers of women, including myself who changed their gender on LinkedIn and their engagement, and all their numbers went through the roof.
I would most like to change the whole editorial feel of the place, but I'm not sure if the CEO could have any affect on that. The problem with having user created content, and no editorial control, is that people just chase every dumb trend that comes along until they beat it into the ground. And now you've got people generating bad content with AI tools, so there's slop at scale. Trying to ban AI content would be a good idea but the tools that ID it are hideously inaccurate.
