Tomorrow is the first day of the last month of the year, and I hope my boss doesn’t repeat the same line again: “We are short according to the year target, so we must work more this month.” Every month feels like the same pressure. What you guys think? Do all companies push hard in December because of yearly targets, or only my workplace follows this pattern?

The last month of the year comes with so much unnecessary pressure. Yes it’s our last chance to reach our goals, but everyone else is in holiday mode. Clients aren’t looking to make purchases or change contracts in December

Agree, clients aren’t going to want to make big moves in December (most of the time)

That's why I work for myself. 😎

Not a cool flex. Something I've earned. Worked my butt off to get where I'm at today. Went from a good salary, sales goals and stress.... to taking a leap with $0 in revenue, 0 clients, some expenses, and a vision. Took 5+ years to get back to where I was at. Everyone has the same choice. Or they can do what those that are paying their salary, are asking them to do.

They all push hard. We’ve been short staffed since summer due to RTO restrictions and work is gaslighting

Our fiscal year wraps Oct 31, so it’s nice that we aren’t pushed extra around the holidays

For some time now, series about the pre-end of the world time is becoming more and more popular, this is the case with "The Handmaid's Tales" it has a perfect image design, characters with a perfectly defined background, and the ability to represent a totally possible pre-apocalyptic world. It has it all. Any other series with these features?

Jr. Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm in Central Florida. Good credentials; top 10% at T14, law review. Sick of private practice bc of hours and pressure. Also, not enjoying the work that Central Florida offers, but want to live here.

I want to one day have my own firm. Trying to think outside the box on how to get the experience w/o being in big law for ten years.

Thinking of applying to be an ASA and to the FL AGO. Would like trial experience or civil rights/con law work.

Thoughts appreciated!

User experience mgr salary? I support six product teams and eight reports. 20+ years experience

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?

Currently a Wealth Advisor for Citi but I honestly hate it here with a passion it’s the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life and I’ve been in Wealth Management in the banking channel for over a decade. Series 7, Series 63, Life, CFP, ChFC, and soon to have my MBA with a focus in Mergers & Acquisitions. I’m look to enter another area of Finance at this point instead of starting over somewhere else from scratch, but not sure what direction to go. Interested in Investment Banking or M&A.

I have an offer and want to negotiate

1. London base salary but I have to absorb all the expenses (train + stay)
I am thinking to negotiate to

2. home base salary and have my expenses paid for

I know that's depends on the amount I have to travel (and potentially stay) but at the moment this is unknown. Past 8 months was just twice a month + 2 nights stay.

The only thing I know is it won't be every week, the return trian ticket is about £80-100, depends I could plan ahead.
