I'm gratified but not jumping for joy. It's good for the country, but in a strange way it doesn't feel like something to celebrate. I hope maybe some people will come to their senses, but I wouldn't bet on that happening.

I don’t plan on voting - the fact that we can’t choose a set of better candidates is depressing - but if I did it would be him… only because of this trial. He’s guilty of quite literally the most insignificant charges the justice department has ever indicted someone on. The fact that our government didn’t convict anyone over the housing crisis but had no problem spending all these resources just so they can label him a “convicted criminal” is ridiculous. Like we all know he’s a dumb criminal, but apparently that wasn’t enough, they also had to prove just how corrupt and broken our justice system is even at the highest levels
Agree with you. I’ve always voted for Dem, but the way they have handled the Trump case, definitely not voting for them this time!
Not surprised, but what a kangaroo court. The Fed said there was no evidence of election fraud, but the state links a bunch of questionable misdemeanors for which tbe statute of limitations has run out to a federal election fraud so they can call it a felony and get around the SOL. Then, he charges the jury with as long as each of you think he did one of these 3 things, then that's close enough to unanimous.
There may be lots of criminal things Trump has done, but nothing within the perview of this trail. Frankly, it's embarrasing.

I understand if you get your news from CNN why you’d think the way you do, I’ve been there too for a while. But this whole thing was a sham and the judge was biased from the start. I dont see how any of this stands and isn’t overturned

The fact that there are now so many supporters of the orange grifter/convicted felon is why Austin has gone down the 💩. You come to Austin bc it was a “cool city,” mainly bc it was the only liberal bubble in Texas. But then you bring your “conservative,” hypocritical so called “values.” 🤦🏻♂️. The party that ran on “lock her up,” is now crying bc their wannabe dictator conman, who did nothing but fill the swamp is now being held accountable. Literally the majority of his inner circle are all now felons or have been indicted but please cry me a river on how he’s been a victim. You are the real snowflakes ❄️.
So a felon can still run for the president? This is insane.
What’s more insane is that being a felon doesn’t change his polling, and likely helps
