I had good luck on dating apps when I was your age but still some trash made it through. It’s a numbers game. With that said I’m a relatively good looking, tall, (moderately) successful, man who isn’t a weirdo so I think my experience may not be what lands for everyone.
Also east sixth, sports and social, tailgating, gyms(non-commercial) or fitness groups/classes, etc.
Hot here. Dm
I met my bf on Hinge!
We have been together over a year and going strong! We are actually moving to Leander together in 2 weeks from Indiana! There’s definitely a few good guys on there but it takes time. I was on the app for about 2 years and finally found someone. It was much harder for me though because I’m childfree and finding a guy who didn’t want kids either was really hard, at least out here in Indiana.
When you figure it out, lemme know
What's "quality" people mean to you?
Thanks! I mean how can you know where and if you find whom you're looking for if you don't have a general idea of what that person is like, right? Figure out the general idea what kind of person you'd like to date then you should have a sense of where these type of people may hangout and go there. Or you can also start the other the way around - with yourself. Start a new hobby and go to social events related to those hobbies. Chances are you'll find new people who share the same new interests with you and start it from there. This way is also less stressful and more natural too but you can't do it strictly just for finding people to date though. 🤷🏻♂️
F25 and same if you swing both ways 🏳️🌈🤣

Hinge is great if you’re looking for an actual relationship. Fitness classes can be a great way to meet people especially if you’re going at the same time/day each week. Austin Sports and Social has good recreational sports leagues that are more social-oriented. BumbleBFF is solid for meeting friends who may then have people they introduce you to.
Austin also has some great volunteering and “networking” opportunities that draw a younger crowd, as well. For example, you could help clean the hike and bike trail with The Trail Conservancy, plants saplings at parks with Treefolks, repair used bikes with The Yellow Bike Project, or attend a Future Front event. These are things either I’ve done or know people that have done (all 35 or younger).
Really depends on your scene. The nice thing about Austin is there are interest groups for almost anything. I'm married so can't speak to the dating scene, but have made tons of friends through car clubs, sports team fan groups, etc.
I’m a 28 year old Male who’s also looking for quality people 😄
Has anyone been to speed dating events here? Recs on which ones were good??
What's your scene? There are a lot or intermural sports leagues from ski ball to corn hole to softball and volleyball. If bar scene is more your thing Rainey may be an option for ya. If ya have a dog Zilker or Barton Springs.
It really depends on what you mean by quality but in your age group dating apps are fairly effective.
If you prefer more old school approach then there are bunch of groups on meeetup, facebook for various activities. Join a few and you’ll definitely run into interesting folks.
Thank you for this
What do you like to do for fun? That’s a good place to start. Go do whatever you enjoy (something that can be done in a group setting obviously) and meet people naturally! There are a lot of meet ups groups for common interests.
I met the grillfran on Bumble. Honestly you just gotta be picky.
Also follow rules 1 and 2.
