My HIGH SCHOOL students lose it when they see that name as well. I just look at them like I have no idea what they’re talking about, as I sit there erasing yet another drawing of that “bad word” from whatever art supply a student drew it on this time.🤦🏻‍♀️

Yeah been dealing with that for 27 yrs… youd think they would push the Blick Part or create a logo of DB instead…

Saw someone asking about high-rise apartments in Mott Haven earlier. Just moved into a new apartment building here and honestly it’s not as bad as I thought. Need advise! My campus does a shared budget that I share with a fellow art teacher at the same campus. We also share a supplies closet. Would you split the budget and get your own supplies or just buy in bulk and share supplies? I am not sure what to do.

What is a good all around first art activity for Kindergarten through 6 th grades that can help me get to know the kids?

Any suggestions or feelings about sending supplies home to remotes? For some units I’m not comfortable sending certain supplies. I’m looking for ideas. I’m considering building up art history and research for the remotes... perhaps more in class as well. I love art history and since I didn’t get most of my supplies I am running low because I gave to make personal kits. 😱 feeling stressed!

What projects are working for you on a cart? So far, weaving and fiber is going great for me. It leaves little mess in their classrooms and doesn’t require a ton of supplies on my cart. Supplies are also inexpensive.
