Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @

If you are under 35, you might have better luck finding a sponsor on a working holiday visa since you will have work rights (although the 6-month employer rule might make it harder).
Moved here after applying for PR directly. Look up 189/190 visa categories. It can take up to 18 months fyi
Eesh. No quicker way?
Unfortunately not - it’s a pretty stringent process.
On the flip side - having made the move and experienced working in consulting here, I’d say it’s really not worth it.
I’m looking to leave as it’s terrible market dynamics here - firms just don’t have appetite to spend and a lot of work is done in house anyway.
Would you mind sharing more about your experience in terms of overall culture, pay, work-life balance, types of projects, etc.?
I am planning to relocate from the UK to Australia, and your input would be extremely helpful.

I was over 35 and moved from US to Aus and did it with a Global Talent visa.
Yes. I talked to an immigration agent and they told me what detail I needed for my EOI. That took a little over a month to get. I gathered everything else I needed for my visa (about 3 weeks) and submitted it and heard back in 1 business day. Then the medical scheduling plus getting the results took another month.
Moved to uk 3yrs ago from Sydney and has been the time of my life travel the world, work is fine, new friends and experiences! Go for it! Esp when young
