Canadians are pretty friendly. Why not make friends with another adult that might be doing the same? Intro your self, and ask if they wouldn’t mind showing you a thing or two in exchange for buying them hot cocoa later

I’m down!

Yes you do

Yes you do. If they have any at all you will have to pay to rent them.

like

Well unless you want to pay for the rent. But I suggest you do if you have one ready.

Hello! Yes. Bring your own equipment if you have one. Enjoy!

Often, the cheapest sleds are the best. They go the fastest with the least control. You can buy one of those Crazy Carpets at Canadian Tire for about $5.99.

(Are they still actually called “Crazy” Carpets… isn’t very PC is it? Mentally ill Mats perhaps?)

helpful

Buy one from walmart for $14. It is very cheap.

While you are at it I recommend the skate path at Colonel Samuel Smith in Etobicoke. Right beside a great sledding hill.

Thank you! Would love to check it out!

Coscto some good ones too

Hello Everyone,

I have 2 outstanding offers from EY and KPMG in the Finance Transformation group. Does anyone have any insight on the WLB right now, with the labor shortage and pipeline being crazy?

Also, does anyone have any insight to how difficult the transition will be from being a manager at a middle market firm into a manager at the B4? If someone else has done the transition how long did it take to get your feet under you?

I have an offer from
Target Corporation -- TC 30LPA as a Sr. Engineer(Full stack)
And
Rubrik -- TC 30LPA + 750 RSUs as a Sr. Full Stack Dev

Really confused about where I should go,
Target tech stack - CQRS Java Spring boot microservices, React, Postgres, Mongo(The tech stack I am comfortable with)
Rubrik tech stack - Python Microservices, Postgres backend and Angular fronend.(The tech stack I have never worked with)

It comes down to Tech stack and WLB, Where should i join?

Hi! I have worked in management roles in tech, mainly in analytics, for approximately 10 years. My TC has fluctuated (currently around 135K CAD), but it seems like it's relatively easy to breach the 100K bar, but hard to breach the 150K bar. I now work at the CBC, but I have worked in the private sector too. What is the most realistic way to move to 200K? 1) Continue moving the ladder to a VP position, 2) Switch to Pre-Sale, 3) Switch to Consulting, 4) Work from a U.S. company from Canada.

Curious to know what you've seen as working to non working dollars split in Canadian agencies. Reference any specific brands (or categories) if you can. I'm used to seeing the conventional 15-20% split for non working (production dollars only, not including media budget, agency fees) but are those days gone now with the takeover of digital (vs traditional) ad placements?

Toronto banks: remote or not? They sometimes post jobs where it doesn’t say it’s remote, but no branch/ location/address either. Then you get an interview and they tell you it’s remote/hybrid(1-2-3days, take your pick)/on-site. So, if you work at TD, Scotia, RBC, could you let everybody know in the comments what’s the deal for each? Are you remote, on-site, hybrid of some sort?

Anyone commuting from Midtown Toronto to Mississauga for work and willing to carpool??

I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

Thank you all!
