Hello Gang, I’m on the business side for Walmart right now. Walmart Global Tech recently offered me a role to move to the San Bruno office, but I’d be taking a demotion from L6 to E5. YOE: 8, COMP(200k base, 25% bonus, 100k RSU). Is this competitive in the bay? I have Doordash and Instacart in the pipeline, but no final offers yet.

This may be uncomfortable advice but I would really lean into the PIP. what are they telling you? Where are you falling short? It could be an opportunity.
Agree with the above. Use the PIP as an opportunity to improve. Do you agree with what’s in the PIP? Are you falling short in certain areas? Seek the advice of others to help you do better. Regardless of the outcome at least you can say you tried. I’ve seen people do really well after being put on a PIP so there’s hope! Good luck to you.
I agree with the two other posters. You will feel better if you take a breath, listen to the feedback, and do the work. Growth can sometimes can be difficult but it is worth trying.
Literally everything I’ve ever heard is that PIPs are the kind way of notifying you that you’ll be let go. You can take the advice if you’re falling short and apply it to the next gig. Start looking now.
I hope you didn’t sign it for legal reasons
