Hold happy hours and play games via zoom, have bi-weekly get togethers planned such as movie night, trivia night.
Daily meetings. Even if only for 5 mins to discuss that days plan of action
Definitely daily or biweekly stand ups, but also slack (or similar) rooms where free discussion can happen.
Make collaboration a priority, the employees should feel ownership and accountability. I manage 20 remote people around the globe. Meetings are round table discussions about what’s working, what’s not working, brainstorming improvements, case reviews, etc.
The team knows they are all stakeholders, and everyone actively contributes in these discussions. Then I work hard to make outcomes of those discussions a reality if at all possible, which promotes trust and engagement.
Create a group chat on Microsoft Teams and allow employees to engage in conversations (keep it clean and professional), and have weekly huddles through Microsoft Teams (cameras on), come up with themes and ideas to share during meetings. We share recipes and our themes have been fun, during Halloween, our team wore costumes.
