What is the best path for discovering senior roles in consulting firms? I notice that most don't actively recruit for the Managing Director/high level positions. Is that because there is no job or because you need to come with something special? How do you get the attention of firm recruiters for high level positions to have a discussion about best fit?

The recruiter for freelance at Havas is the worst. She’ll email and ask for my availability then ghost. Also brought me in for an interview & didn’t even tell them I freelanced there before.

Scale of 1-10, how crazy is it to check-in email the CDs you interviewed with? Unless there’s been a terrible accident I’m pretty sure the recruiter is ghosting me. The not knowing is killing me!

I am really tensed, I don't want to throw away this opportunity. I was really looking forward for the interview. Would they really reschedule my interview?

Had a second round interview for an experienced hire role 6 weeks ago, was told I was moving to the final round, and no date has been set. Last communication from recruiter was almost 3 weeks ago. Followed up with the recruiter last week, crickets. Am I no longer being considered?

So, I landed a Customer Service Advisor job at Sitel in the UK. But I heard that they fire you without any prior notice or end their campaigns abruptly, leaving us with no job. Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.
