Here are some thoughts:
* If you currently do any recruiting through specific schools, widen your net to include new ones.
* Advertise your searches on PoC-owned media.
* Provide a link to your DEI values in each job posting or provide a blurb that summarizes it.
* Look at your Hiring Team. If it doesn’t include some people that look like those that you wish to hire, you have some work to do.
* Engage with your employees and ask them for ideas. Emphasize that you want to find the best people for the job and that the pool of “best people” includes everyone!



Has your org invested in L&D for DEIB in recruiting and hiring? If recruiters and hiring managers are not trained on mitigating and navigating unconscious bias, you can have the most diverse pipeline out there but there will always be a bottleneck.

I am STRUGGLING to find good workshops to bring in to my company! I'm trying to build L&D but no one (in professional groups) seems to be willing to share the facilitators they like and I'm so stuck because I need to bring in facilitators but need to have them vetted by recs prior.
I desperately need someone to give 1 hour sessions to large groups on broad topics like time mgmt...
I desperately need someone to lead customer support training on best practices to our support teams...

Seeking advice regarding salary negotiations for vehicle wear and tear (In my current role we have fleet vehicles). The new offer 95k / 155k OTE (less in salary but better commission structure, uncapped based on performance). They are currently offering gas mileage which will not support vehicle maintenance. The role requires regional coverage from MA to northern NJ weekly. Anyone have experience in negotiating a vehicle maintenance package?


It's difficult to come up with a compelling ad campaign for some of these products; why would someone "need" a specific set of kitchen knives or the like

Definitely took the wrong job. I was offered a seriously competitive salary and great benefits to work at a well funded startup, which is great! Turns out the salary and benefits were meant as lowkey bribes to insure I worked at the company without actually doing any work. Every single suggestion I've made has been shut down and I've been ghosted for several meetings with the CEO. What should I do? Just leave?

My boss makes jokes about me being from a different country whenever there is a work meeting or a gathering with coworkers, even though he knows where I am from. This usually occurs when I meet new work-related people or for example if I am in a situation that involves ethnic related subjects.

What is this? This is normal?


The first time I ignored that, but now it has become a pattern and is bothering me now. I am south-American working in the UK.


I find myself in workshops and meetings, groups of 15-20 people, and I’m always the only woman. In my entire department, there are no other women. I’m getting to the point where I’m feeling defeated and burnt out. I’ve been working in male-dominated environments my entire career (over 10 years) and I’m losing motivation.
